A new axe from the Stubai stable and one that's ideally suited
to winter walking, as the name suggests. The shaft is similar
to that of the Blue Star Trail, so you could use this for ice axe
belays, but it's the head that differentiates the two.
A cheaper and lighter forged head is fitted, which won't be
quite so good for hacking steps, but it's perfect for self-arrest
and general winter walking. A very useful tool, especially at its
price, but slightly more suited to walking
